01The program
Negotiation Inc is real-estate software. Operators use it to reach property owners about possibly buying their property — a first contact after a call went unanswered, a written copy of an offer already discussed, a follow-up somebody asked for. Conversational, person-to-person messages about one specific property. No blasts, no marketing lists, no “deals in your area”.
02How numbers get here
A number gets texted for one of two reasons: the owner of a property gave it to the operator (on a call, on a form, in person), or it appears on public or licensed property records for a property the operator is genuinely trying to buy. The first text identifies who is writing and why, and every commercial message carries an opt-out. Nobody buys their way onto a list here, because there is no list — there are individual properties and the people who own them.
03Frequency and rates
Message frequency varies with the conversation — typically one to four messages over a few weeks about one property, and it stops the moment you reply or ask it to. Message and data rates may apply; those are your carrier’s charges, not ours.
04STOP, and it stays stopped
Reply STOP (or STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT) and you get one confirmation — “You will not receive further messages from this number.” — and then silence. The number lands on a suppression list that nothing in the software overrides: not a scheduled follow-up, not a new import, not an operator having a determined afternoon. Plain-English refusals work too: “stop texting me” and “take me off” are read exactly like STOP, because they mean exactly the same thing.
The suppression also silences the dialler for that number. Asking not to be texted should not earn you a phone call.
05HELP
Reply HELP and you get: “Negotiation Inc. Reply STOP to opt out. Msg & data rates may apply.” Or just write the question — a person reads the replies, and replying pauses any scheduled messages while a human sorts it out.
06Carriers
Messages travel over the major U.S. carriers and their regional partners. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. If a message never reaches you, nothing bad happens — the software never treats silence as a yes.
